Salwan Public school, Gurugram in association with Gurgaon Progressive school council hosted to the virtual Award Ceremony for Interschool Mathematics competition- “Mathematics Euphoria-2021”.

The program started with the welcome of guests and other members who joined the ceremony, by the students of Salwan Public School- Master Ranesh and Miss Alisha.

The Award ceremony started with the virtual lighting of the lamp along with shloka chanting to invoke the Almighty’s blessings. It was followed by the address of Vice Principal Dr. Sunita Jakhar to the august gathering. She acknowledged the hard work done by the students and teachers. She further emphasized that entries received in the competition showed that Mathematics can be beautifully integrated with Art, Theater, Music, English and real-life surroundings. The entries showcased creativity of students and promoted the NEP 2020. She further added that it was very difficult to judge the performances of the students and told that everyone was a winner in one or the other aspect, positions are just symbolic. She ended her address by appreciating everyone’s efforts. After this name of all participating schools and categories of competitions were displayed on the slide. The host school did not participate in the competition so, presentation by Shashwath Rath of class 4 was shown during the ceremony in the category “Tale with a Mathematical Twist”.

After the presentation Dr. Sanjana Jaisinghani, Head of Department, Mathematics announced the names of young achievers from Grade III-VIII.

After this Principal ma’am Ms. Rashmi Malik was invited to address the august gathering. Ma’am appreciated the presence of all participants attending the ceremony. She acknowledged everyone’s work and asked Math teachers to enhance mental math in students and continue their efforts in this journey of calculation in Mind. She thanked everyone for participating in this event and said that each one of you is already a winner once you have created something and participated in it. She also announced special prize for the school who have not received any award in the event. In the end vote of thanks was given by Headmistress Ms. Kumud Aneja. She sincerely thanked all members of GPSC and shared that we all enjoyed this beautiful experience. She extended the gratitude to Principal ma’am for providing this opportunity, faculties for their tireless effort and students for their wonderful participation.

The program culminated with a beautiful poem on Mathematics recited by Master Ranesh Chandna and Ms. Alisha followed by thanking everyone for joining the event and heartiest congratulations to all the winners.
